Dale Tremblay Begley creates uncommon portraits and figurative paintings of people and animals in their environment. Beyond capturing a likeness, each painting tells a story about it's subject. The artist, whose style is realistic, weaves in the emotional nuances of her subjects. Characteristic of her work is an uplifting mood that is universally understood. She works in pastels, oils, and charcoal.
Dale began painting oil portraits for commission when she was just 15 years old. Later she worked as a commercial artist for several years before returning to her career as a fine artist and portrait painter in 1995.
Exhibiting locally and nationally, Dale has received numerous awards and has been juried into several national shows. Her figurative paintings and commissioned portraits hang in public and private collections throughout the US and worldwide. When she is not in her studio Dale can also be found riding and caring for her two horses. She resides in New Hampshire with her husband, their two horses and their German Shepherd dog Yana.
